Step into a New Season
Meditate on Scripture
Jeremiah 29:11-13 — For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 33:3 — Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
Ephesians 2:10 — For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do
Devotional
On an average evening, as I was inside my home, I saw a bright orange glow casted on my house. I knew a gorgeous sunset was waiting to be seen. So, I made my way outside and I was stunned. (See the picture attached to this reflection.) There was nothing particularly unique or special about the day to “deserve” a beautifully painted sky. It was certainly an unexpected gift. A gift is meant to be a surprise — one that requires an intentional, orchestrated plan.
The Lord has crafted an intricate plan for your life — a gift that promises you a hope and a future. Pause for a moment and consider that God’s plan for your life is as beautiful as this glowing sunset.
Reflection
Ponder what God has in store for you this year. How will you glorify and serve Him? As you navigate a fresh season, I encourage you to ask the Lord, how He wants you to step into this new year. I believe we understand God’s plan for us as we draw near to Him in prayer.
Communion with the Lord draws us close to our Maker.
