To Nourish & Nurture
This month, I am finding myself without words.
I’ve come to the conclusion that maybe it is for an intentional reason —
To create a space with limited words.
Our world is filled with words: thoughts, ideas, and opinions. If you’re like me, it can certainly become overwhelming. We can easily caught up in the swirl of fitting molds of expectations. You know, those standards that don’t necessarily create ease, but rather a forced feeling of hurry.
Can we pause and be at ease in the silence? To be tenderly cared for by God without rush, forced demands, or fear of not meeting the mark.
This month, I encourage you to pause to be nourished.
Allow the Lord to show how much He values you. He wants to nourish your soul. He longs to sit with you and eliminate the spinning hurry.
Reflective Ponder
Pair nourishment with silence: To be nourished without urgency.
Pause and consider what nourishment you need from the Lord.
This month, will you sit with the Lord and be without words?
Meditate on Scripture
Psalms 62:5-6 — Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken.
Colossians 2:6-7 — So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 — But blessed is the one who trusts is in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.
